| HELLO. We’re Kate & Birdie. Our studio can be found in the heart of Winnipeg’s Historic Exchange District. Known as the “Chicago of the North” a century ago, Winnipeg was home to many of Chicago’s architects, and its Exchange District is now considered one of the most intact turn-of-the century commercial districts in North America. On the top floor of an old sewing factory, you’ll find us stretching canvas prints, picking out the perfect envelope color, or observing the pigeons on a neighboring rooftop. Here, original illustrations are designed in-house and brought to life with fresh color combinations, luxurious paper and stunning envelopes. Recycled papers made with wind-generated electricity and plant-based biodegradable wrap enveloping each note card reflect our commitment to creating a smaller footprint, and offering our customers the ability to do the same. Our dedication to quality is evident in the result - a tiny piece of art, as unique and charming as each of the boutiques, bookstores and stationers we work along side. |
